The next step is a Personal Assessment Appointment, where we will:
• Perform a detailed examination of your child's jaw and airway structure
• Take the necessary imaging and X-rays*
• Evaluate tongue space and alignment
• Create your child's personalised jaw expansion and alignment plan, including the exact treatment approach and timeline.
This fee covers a full diagnosis and clinical analysis.
You will be taken to a booking page to book your 1-1 appointment with Dr Depen.
FAQ's
Between 3 to 6 years old is ideal as this is when early signs of under-developing jaws become more noticeable in the form of mouth breathing, snoring and crowded teeth. However even having them assessed up until 12 years old can give us a chance to provide early intervention treatment.
If an X-ray will help with your child's diagnosis or change their treatment plan then the reasoning will be explained before proceeding. Some x-rays are taken in-house and some are referred to an external x-ray centre.
It is recommended for your first appointment to be in person for the most in depth analysis - however I understand people are often travelling long distances so initial imaging and scans can be arranged closer to you
Typically it take's around 2 weeks to analyse all the data gathered at the assessment after after which we will have a virtual call to discuss their results. Because of the high volume of enquiries I receive this may be longer but I will always do my best to get this to you ​as early as possible.​
